It's crazy: when I was little, I was deathly allergic to cats. Like, couldn't breathe, face would swell up, itchy everywhere, sneezing, crying, hopeless, and a mess. But I still loved cats. I would sit there, on death's doorstep, and still pspspspspsp until my mom would find me and rescue me. I could have avoided asthma if I hadn't moved in with roommates that had cats… and then snuggled with said cats, often…. See what I mean? I couldn't help myself!
HOWEVER, I'm not exactly sure at what point, but at some point, I stopped being so allergic. I am still technically allergic and will get itchy eyes and nose, but I'm not petting cats with the Grim Reaper anymore. I'm petting cats, laughing, and breathing! BREATHING NORMALLY! And wow, I'm not sure what good deed I did in life to grow out of my cat allergy like that, but thank you, universe. Because now I have two cats that I never sneeze with and they are the best. I could meme about them all day, they're just so loving!

Before I struck my deal with the devil, or however I became un-allergic to cats, the only way I could enjoy the feline friends that I wanted to cuddle so desperately was through memes. So, just know that I understand your plight. Being a cat person who is allergic to cats is torturous. You want to cuddle those floofy little buddies, but you also technically need to be able to breathe and if you cuddled them that would be come a problem… Antihistamines can help, but they are expensive and, honestly, barely helped. I'm just being honest with my experience! So, I would have to pet the pretty kitties with my eyes. And LOL at their silly antics through the plethora of cat memes online. Thank goodness the internet loves cats!
